SAFETY GUIDELINES
We would recommend that you follow these guidelines as it is in the interest of the children that inflatable units are operated safely:
- It is in the beset interest of young children to keep bouncing sessions to separate age groups, ie under 5s, 5 to 8s and 9 and overs. This eliminates the older children frightening the younger ones by being too boisterous. The number of users at any one time should be limited to the figure that allows each user room to play safely.
- It is important that the unit is always supervised by a responsible person over the age of 18. On no account should any person under the influence of alcohol, drugs etc be allowed either on the unit or allowed to supervise the users. It is extremely dangerous for children to climb or hang off the walls and this should be discouraged at all times. There should be no bouncing on the step. This is to help children get on and off the unit only. It is the responsibility of the attendant or party organiser to ensure that the equipment is not overloaded creating possible danger to users.
- Children must remove their footwear (except socks) before going onto the unit, but make sure they are put to the side and not left untidy at the front of the unit. Keep the front of your unit clear at all times so that if a child does accidentally fall, there are no objects lying at the front of the unit that could cause injury.
- Ensure that no sharp objects, ie combs, keys, badges, buckles, spectacles, necklaces, earrings etc are taken onto the unit.
- Nobody who is taller than the outside walls when standing on the bed uses the bouncy castle.
- No food, drinks or sharp objects to be taken on the units
- Children should be discouraged from going round the back of the unit where the blower is in operation.
- Rough horseplay and somersaults should not be allowed as this can easily cause injury.
- It is important to note that the units get extremely slippy in damp conditions, and it is therefore advisable to keep children off the units until dry.
- Inflatable units are not designed to be used in high winds, as they can easily be taken by the wind and turned over
- All Allstar inflatables are designed only for children, and therefore should not by adults be used at any time.
